Update: The new social network portal has launched and appears to be every bit as useful and fun as Facebook and other similar sites. The big difference is that we actually get paid to use it, with no cost to join.

A new concept appears to be emerging in social networking, with Peoplestring.com at the forefront. It is an expanding new networking site, like Facebook, MySpace, etc., that actually shares the revenues it receives from it's advertising sponsors with the members who join it and use it. This means periodic cash disbursements to it's members, just by doing ANY of the following: (1) logging in and using the site; (2) referring friends and contacts to join and use the site; and (3) receiving and reading mail from the site's advertising sponsors (no obligation to buy anything). The site is free to join and there are no ongoing costs to be an active member. It offers the utility of a dashboard center for access to all of your favorite websites, email accounts, IM utilities and social networking sites. Moreover, it features a unique email system that allows you to destroy/recall your emails from your recipient's email box AFTER you have already sent them. Have you ever wanted to retract or destroy an email you sent to another person's box? Or set the timing of your sent email to self-destruct in the recipient's box within a time period of your choice? This can be done through PeopleString. The site will add robust new features in September, like that typical of other social networking sites (except that you get paid to use it).
